INTRODUCTION

● Clive Teubes cc is in its 25th year of operation.

● Three separate factories cater for the range of products produced at Teubes. The 4th factory is currently under construction. We are therefore expanding quite rapidly right now. This expansion program is in place for the next 2 years.

● Besides the 3 factory facilities, which operate in the Johannesburg area, we have a number of off site facilities as well. These operations are based out in the field, where the distillations are actually carried out.

● A key focus of the company is to uplift rural communities. We are currently involved in a number of programs whereby we set up in a joint venture or via financial support. Rural communities carry out the cultivation of a range of essential oil plants for the distillation of essential oils. We are active at both government and provincial level throughout South Africa with a number of programs. We are continuously active in both the input of technical support as well as the marketing the oils from these rural production facilities. The ultimate aim is to support job creation for the people within South Africa and we use what skills we have to contribute to this effort. We are dedicated to seeing these rural communities, with whom we are involved, look to enjoy an improved quality of life.

● Our efforts go beyond South Africa. The poverty in Africa is very real. Therefore we try to alleviate that in any small way that we can by getting involved in a number of essential oil projects by way of joint ventures and financial assistance in African countries north of our borders. We are already involved in government level projects with Madagascar, Zambia and  Swaziland. We also have joint ventures developing in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Rwanda.

● Our ultimate goal is this. That we can produce a number of products “Out of Africa” that are acceptable in quality and pricing to the international market. 

● Besides the efforts within the rural communities mentioned above, we are actively involved in building strong commercial farmer platforms to sustain reliable sources of supply of a variety of essential oils. We have a number of commercial farmers situated throughout South Africa, who are committed, like ourselves, to developing an essential oil industry, which is South African based and able to supply to international quality standards. This base of commercial farmers, is continuously being expanded to include a wide range of essential oil products. The commercial farmers play a key role in the development of this industry of the essential oil industry in South Africa.

● We are ISO 2001 certified right now, and have recently attained HACCAP certification, as of February 2006.

● One of the underlying foundations of our business is our intention to maintain high quality control standards of all of our products. To this end, we have 4 large laboratories, which maintain a good check on our quality standards so that we can continuously remain internationally acceptable in this regard.

● In the past 5 years as we have become more and more involved in the production of organic essential oils and offer the local and international markets both Ecocert certified as well as BCS certified organic essential oils. More recently, we have also acquired accreditation for organic carrier oils and organic citrus oils, which will continue to be an expanding venture of ours.  We are also pleased to add that our NOP certification has also been accredited.

● Wild crafted and exotic oils play an important role in our essential oil portfolio. Currently we have a range of 18 wild crafted/exotic oils to offer. Research and development is conducted on a continuous basis to evaluate the very wide range of indigenous plants, with which this Southern portion of Africa has been blessed.

● Our markets and clients are very important to us. You will see on this web site, that we supply a wide but comprehensive range of raw materials. The first market that is important to us is the local market here in South Africa. This company was actually birthed out of the wonderful support that we had obtained from the local clientele in our young days in the early ‘80s. We still enjoy the loyalty of a large number of local clients here in South Africa. Loyalty is an important word to us.

● Regarding our overseas markets, we feel very favoured to have markets throughout the world and again, some very supportive and loyal clients. We export our products to the United States, Canada, the UK, Continental Europe, India, China and Japan. Much of our success has been based on the wonderful support received from our client base worldwide. Being at the Southern tip of Africa is far away from many of our markets, but the excellent support that we have had from our clientele worldwide has always made the long distances seem that much closer.

Therefore serving our clients both locally here in South Africa and overseas is a pleasure for us. One of our main focuses is to continuously work towards maintaining the highest level of service that we possibly can.
