South Africa produces a wide range of citrus fruits. The citrus plantations are situated throughout the country, on the West Coast, the East Coast, the South Coast as well as inland. Consequently, there are a variety of citrus oil qualities and thus South African citrus oils can match those from many different regions of the world.
The
citrus oils we offer are:

(distilled and cold-pressed)

We
produce, from the above oils, a number of citrus extracts, which include:

Folded
citrus oils – 5, 10 and 20 fold – of Orange, Lemon,
Grapefruit, Lime and Tangerine

Distillates
such as D-Limonene, Valencene and Nootkatone
●
Citrus
aldehydes and citrus sesquiterpenes
●
Citrus aroma
oils, such as Orange Aroma oil, Lemon Aroma oil
●
Grapefruit
Aroma oil and Tangerine Aroma oil
The
citrus season in South Africa starts in the month of April and ends in
September. The harvest time is as follows:

Grapefruit –
Mid-April through to late June
●
Lemon – June
through to September
●
Navel Orange
– June/July
●
Valencia
Orange – July/August/September
●
Tangerine –
July/August
Oil
is normally available 3-4 weeks after the commencement of the fruit
harvest.
