The Southern region of the African continent is blessed with a wide range of indigenous plants. In fact the Western Cape is known to have the largest number of indigenous plants/herbal species anywhere in the world.
The distillation of indigenous/wild-crafted essential oils is very central to the research and development operations here at Teubes. Currently we offer a range of 18 different wild crafted/indigenous essential oils. We continue to evaluate the properties of these novel oils from both a flavour and fragrance perspective as well as from an aromatherapy point of view.
We also have operations in various places in Africa aimed at
extracting floral species in the search for novel flavour & fragrance raw materials.
More and more of our effort is focusing on a range of natural products for
natural perfumery, natural cosmetics and aromatherapy. We have recently succeeded in
producing a number of fine products by absorbing vanilla into marula, rose into marula and a few others. Also our co-extraction of
products: rose in sandalwood, neroli in petitgrain to name two.
Currently we are evaluating a number of natural waxes from natural oils to
replace those traditionally produced for petrochemicals.
The list of 18 exotic/indigenous essential oils is listed on Page 3 our brochure. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for a copy.
